Brief: To photograph a mix of interiors, exteriors and lifestyle photography at this open-to-the-public chateau for website and marketing use
Commissioned by: Chateau de Courances
Like many huge country houses, Chateau de Courances has had to evolve to survive financially. I was asked to photograph all aspects of the estate in order to update its website. Utterly beautiful in that classic 1600s style & situated just south of Paris, Courances is still a family owned estate and a delight to photograph from nearly every angle. It is open to the public and has a thriving house & garden tour schedule, productive kitchen gardens and shop, Foulerie cafe and extensive formal gardens including a Japanese garden and extensive water features. I am looking forward to returning in 2019 to photograph their events ncluding a polo tournament.
