Lucy & Oli’ s wedding at Maunsel House has been my chosen album portfolio for years now – today is actually their 8th anniversary! Many happy returns, guys!
It was just a brilliant wedding. The date was 7/7/7. The weather was great. The light was great. They took over Maunsel House in Somerset for the whole weekend, so all the guests could properly settle in…and party late into the night. Lucy & Oli just had eyes for each other – there’s hardly a single photograph where they’re looking at me – and it made for one of my great real reportage weddings. Editing it down to twenty pictures for this blog was a nightmare!
It was also a gateway to many other great weddings: at least four couples (Lucy & Tim, Cath & Scott, Claire & Damian, Gemma & James…possibly more!) were guests at this wedding…and then I subsequently shot many of their guests’ weddings. It’s how I like to work.
