The Physic Garden is a secret green oasis in the heart of central London, tucked away in upmarket Chelsea. I lived in London for years and have shot loads of weddings in the capital – but I’d never heard of it. If you want the feel of a country wedding in the middle of a big city, it’s the perfect venue – and my photographs really show that.
I’d shot Aimee-Jane’s sister’s wedding a few years earlier, also in London, so it was great to see lots of familiar faces. It’s how I like to work – getting to know a family & photographing their weddings…then christenings…then children. In this way, there is a familiarity with me the photographer which means everyone relaxes & you get great images.
