Ah Watergate Bay Hotel – north Cornwall’s best family hotel, but also less well-known: a perfect wedding venue. Maximum 60 guests. Fantastic food and service. Amazing views out to sea from nearly every room. Superb surf. Ok, maybe the surf doesn’t swing it for everyone – but I have shot weddings here when the day starts with me finning out to sea with my waterhousing and photographing the groom getting a wedding day barrel.
At Vicki & Leo’s wedding here, the sun shone on them and their 12 guests all day. We ate great food. We wandered on the beach (several times) and the tide nearly caught us out (several times). Vicki had a Marilyn Monroe moment. The sun shone & shone.
