Hannah & Nick’s wedding was in the pretty Dorset market town of Sherborne & then back to his parents’ place in the rolling countryside nearby. Nick even got to drive away from the church in his dad’s E-Type Jaguar – it doesn’t get any more British than that.
In many ways, it was exactly that: an archetypal English summer wedding. The men all togged up in tails looking sharp & smart, the classical church of St Mary Magdelene Castleton, the bucolic setting and that hazy end-of-summer heat all day.
What I loved about this wedding was the organic nature of it: loads of the guests had decorated the marquee and bar and reception area. Fairy lights, homemade tipples, wooden kegs and barrels for drinks tables…even a vintage Massey Ferguson tractor parked rakishly outside.
